It is called «Gavião» and is the new national co-promotion project that brings together INEGI and Airbus Defense & Space, and the Portuguese companies ISQ, OPTIMAL and Stratosphere.
The «cockpit of the future» is being tested
To prove the applicability of the technologies developed by INEGI, the project now enters the test phase, in real scale and on the ground, of the representative prototypes.
PROGRESS MEETING MARKS THE 42ND MONTH OF THE PASSARO PROJECT
On the 4th of February, the Caetano Aeronautic hosted the 7th PASSARO consortium meeting, which brought together all partners to present the progress of the project.
PASSARO´s developments have been highlighted at international conferences
Last month ISQ was at the EMC Europe, in Barcelona (Spain), and at the 9th EASN conference on Innovation in Aviation & Space, in Athens (Greece), to disseminate the activities developed under the PASSARO project.
PASSARO (caPAbilities for innovative Structural and functional teSting of AeROstructures) was approved for funding under a call for Clean Sky 2 Core Partner’s. Clean Sky 2 is a Public-Private Partnership between the European Commission and the main European companies in the aeronautical sector, which manages EUR 1,800 million for Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) in the European aeronautical sector.
This project aims to work on areas identified by Airbus D&S: multi-functional aerostructure design, aerostructures testing and innovative NDI & repair, application of new information & automation technologies to manufacturing & maintenance, among others.
